Clermont Auvergne INP is currently hosting two international programs bringing together French, German and Japanese students through scientific, intercultural and collaborative projects.
In partnership with Shibaura Institute of Technology (Tokyo), 14 Japanese students and 12 French students are taking part in the 5th edition of the joint short program, this year entitled “Design the Ideal City – Explore Science Impacts.” Since 2020, more than 100 students have participated in these Franco-Japanese programs. The French students will continue the exchange in Tokyo in February 2027. The program is supported by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region through its Ambition Internationale scheme, as well as by the Clermont Auvergne INP Foundation.
At the same time, ISIMA is running the 3rd edition of its Franco-German computer science program with OTH Regensburg, focusing on applied optimization. The German students are currently being hosted in Clermont-Ferrand for the second part of the program, following the French group’s stay in Regensburg in May. The project combines scientific teaching, language learning and cultural discovery, with the support of the Franco-German Youth Office (OFAJ/DFJW).
Two different programs, but one shared ambition: to enable future engineers and scientists to work together across borders, compare approaches and develop the intercultural skills that are essential for addressing tomorrow’s challenges.
