The Doctoral School of Engineering Sciences

The Doctoral School of Engineering Sciences (ED SPI) brings together a potential of 80 teacher-researchers authorized to direct research, 4 host laboratories including 3 Mixed Research Units (UMR) of the CNRS for more than 220 doctoral students and more than 45 theses defended annually.

A vast disciplinary field

The scientific policy of the ED SPI is based on the policies developed in the laboratories associated with it. The laboratories cover a vast disciplinary field in the following 3 scientific directions:

  • Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies (vision methods and systems for robotics, components and systems of microelectronics and optoelectronics and electro-magnetic modeling, computer science)
  • Food Process Engineering (chemical and biological engineering)
  • Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering (modeling of uncertainty, design methodologies for machines, structures and structures, relationship between modeling and experimentation)
